We are proud to announce that the Royal Canadian Legion Newfoundland Labrador Command will be re-launching  The Veteran Magazine after a 50 year hiatus.  The Magazine was started in 1920 as the “Organ of the Great War Veterans Association of Newfoundland” (GWVA) and continued as a quarterly magazine that ran until the 1950’s.  It was an important information portal to inform the GWVA Membership (later the Royal Canadian Legion) of the activities of the Newfoundland Labrador Command and to generate income to support Veteran issues. It was also used to engage the community and business leaders in supporting Veterans of all walks of life and help them adjust in the civilian community after years of service.

Monies raised from advertising will help support Veterans in need through the office of the Newfoundland Labrador Command.  Your generous support will go a long way in helping the office reach out to Veterans, Legionnaires and the public across the province of the needs and issues facing today’s Veterans in Newfoundland and Labrador as well as providing monetary help of those Veterans in need regardless if they are a member of the Royal Canadian Legion or not.

The magazine and the monies it raises though advertising will stay in Newfoundland and Labrador.  The Magazine will be distributed free of charge in public places, schools, Legion branches, government offices, military bases, malls, restaurants and coffee shops assuring we reach the maximum amount of readership.  An electronic copy will also be made available through our website, Facebook and Twitter feeds.
